One prayer answered.

Do you know how many hours, days, weeks, months, and even years we prayed for a diagnosis??!!  Well we finally received one on the day that we had the highest of hopes, on our first procedure day.

I woke up that morning, I was SO excited and SO hopeful and just knew in my heart that this was the day we've been waiting for, this would be the day that would begin our family.  I felt happy! I WAS happy! I knew that nothing was going to possibly go wrong on this day!!  Until we sat in that procedure room and the doctor addressed us with the news that there was a problem.  He told us that the procedure probably wouldn't be successful, that there was a low chance of it happening with this method but we went through with it anyhow.  There was A CHANCE and we were going to take it!

I tried to hold it together, I felt like someone had kicked me right in the tummy and I did an awesome job of keeping my composure until we got home.  I went into our bedroom, Josh followed and all I could muster was "I'm so scared, I'm so overwhelmed, I'm so scared that we're never going to have our own family."  I lost it! I lost it until I couldn't breathe, then I lost it again.  I am married to one amazing man, he is my rock wall and has faith that I strive to have...he's never had one single ounce of doubt that we wouldn't have a child of our own.  God certainly knew what He was doing when he put us in each other’s paths.

Now it's a week later and I've been able to let this news absorb, I've been able to do some research, and I've been able to look at this as the answered prayer that it really is...it wasn't the prayer that I was praying on that day, but it was one that I've prayed for so long....an answer to my WHY.

There's still a chance my friends, there's still hope...Pray On!!  “Thy Will Be Done”

THE DAY

Today is the day of our first invasive fertility treatment.  The day that could change our lives forever and ever for the better!!

I have to say that I woke up cool as a cucumber which surprised me because during the whole medication and shots series I was having anxiety.  It's a kind of peace I really can't explain until I literally just sat here and realized that I've been in a nonstop conversation with God willing Him to hold our hands and to provide for us.

As I was driving into work this morning and had to have another conversation with myself about "what if" this doesn't work for us.  I know that I will be devastated to say the least but I also I know that I have a loving God and the best husband a woman could ask for.  I know that we will be okay regardless of the outcome...but I of course pray for the best and want to remain positive.  God will provide for us in His time!!

So I'm asking this morning and in the following days if everyone will lift us in prayer.  Even if you just say these four little words for us... "Thy will be done."  It is a prayer of incredible power… because it is a prayer of total submission.  It acknowledges that God sees what we cannot see, and knows what we cannot know.  It invites Him to accomplish His perfect plan in and through us, with our complete cooperation.  The Power of Prayer is an amazing thing!!  <3

The journey continues...

BTW...I have woken up with on eof my favorite songs "Today is the Day" in my head probably 10 times this month.  I thought I'd share the lyrics with everyone that reads this...

TODAY IS THE DAY (YouTube it...it's a great song!!!!)
I'm casting my cares aside
I'm leaving my past behind
I'm setting my heart and mind on You Jesus

I'm reaching my hand to Yours
Believing theres so much more
Knowing that all You have in store for me is good
Is good

Today is the day You have made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
Today is the day You have made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
And I won't worry about tomorrow
I'm trusting in what You say
Today is the day
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Today is the day
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh

I putting my fears aside
I'm leaving my doubts behind
I'm giving my hopes and dreams to You Jesus

I'm reaching my hand to Yours
Believing there's so much more
Knowing that all You have in store for me is good
Is good
